Garam Masala

Garam Masala: is a blend of spices originating from the countries of the Indian Subcontinent, with the name translated as garam (hot) and marsala (a mixture of spices). Although the composition of the mixture varies from region to region, a common mixture of garam masala spices includes:

  • Black and white peppercorns
  • Cloves
  • Cinnamon or Cassia bark
  • Mace
  • Black and green cardamon pods
  • Bayleaf
  • Cumin
  • Corriander
