Adzuki Bean

Adzuki Bean also known as a red mung bean originating in northeast Asia. The word Adzuki is from Japanese, and means small bean. In Asia the bean is boiled with sugar to create red bean paste, a filling used in numerous desserts. They can be cooked with rice for savory recipes, and are used in many convenience foods around the world.
